The rich and intricate blue design on this small ceramic tray will no doubt feel familiar, as it is a style that has been popular for centuries.
Initially a woven design created as decorative silk wall hangings, the style was translated into a wallpaper and became widespread in the Victorian era, maintaining its popularity until today, to now be translated once more into ceramic homewares.
The delightful design has been hand painted onto the small narrow tray, which has also been made by hand by artisan ceramists at a small, family owned factory in Italy.
