Constantine Bay Dinner Plate

Inspired by the land and seascape of Cornish coves, this collection of illustrations won a competition Rick Stein launched for final year Art & Design students at Falmouth University, resulting in this tabletop range.

Eight coves and bays from North Cornwall are hand-painted in watercolour, capturing the sea's depth and colour in beautiful detail.

This dinner plate is decorated with a watercolour illustration of Constantine Bay, Cornwall. The clean design of the bone china form compliments the subtly changing shades of the bay, with vivid sea blue tones. 

Rick on his memories of Constantine Bay: "Barbecues and folk songs in the dunes in the '60s. Everyone surfing at high tide. Stern warnings from my parents of dangerous rips when it was low."
