Constantine Bay Mug

Inspired by the land and seascape of Cornish coves, this collection of illustrations won a competition Rick Stein launched for final year Art & Design students at Falmouth University, resulting in this tabletop range.

Eight coves and bays from North Cornwall are hand-painted in watercolour, capturing the sea's depth and colour in beautiful detail.

This mug features Constantine Bay, Cornwall, its vivid sea-blue tones set against the clean lines of the bone china form. The bay's name is noted on the inner rim.
Rick on his memories of Constantine Bay: "Barbecues and folk songs in the dunes in the '60s. Everyone surfing at high tide. Stern warnings from my parents of dangerous rips when it was low."
