Takahashi Hiroko is a Japanese artist recognised for her bold designs and a fusion of Japanese craftsmanship with contemporary culture. Her patterns are restricted to circles and straight lines, a metaphor for a simple life. Hiroko has a PhD from Tokyo University of the Arts in traditional crafts such as dyeing and weaving. As well as starting her own design company, she has worked on collaborations with Issey Miyake, Fred Perry, Clinique and renowned Japanese department store Isetan. Japanese Stories is Hiroko’s first home fragrance collection, created in collaboration with BlissHome and Thomas Merlo & Partners. The collection includes five unique fragrances, each inspired by a different tale of Hiroko’s childhood in Tokyo. The fragrances are embodied in Hiroko’s signature motifs and packaged in beautiful gift boxes inline with Japanese tradition.
