Underground Mug For The Zoo

This fabulous mug has a printed design on it taken from an old London Transport poster. A pleasure to drink from and a pleasure to look at.

Rojan (also know by the name Feodor Rojankovsky), born in Russia 1891, died 1970. Was best known for his illustrations for children's books and designed posters for London Transport in 1935.

London Zoo features in more Underground posters than any other subject; at least 2 per year were produced throughout the 1920's.

The Zoological Society of London was founded in 1826 by Sir Stamford Raffles. Since then, their mission has been to promote and achieve the worldwide conservation of animals and their habitats in the wild as well as at ZSL London Zoo and ZSL Whipsnade Zoo.
