This gorgeous set of 4 porcelain espresso cups is great for entertaining or the sneaky indulgence alike. The designs are taken from posters designed by Arthur Watts for the Underground Group.
1924-1927 - Arthur Watts. Arthur Watts studied at the Slade School of Fine Art. Later he travelled to Antwerp, Paris, Moscow and Madrid to further his studies. Watts was awarded the Distinguished Service Order in the First World War. He contributed illustrations to Punch, Pearson's Magazine, Pear's Annual, The Bystander and Radio Times in addition to illustrations for a number of books. Watts often drew views from an unusual overhead angle and his figures were sometimes somewhat elongated.
